All Modules

What is MobileKids?

A communication and management app for nurseries, preschools and schools. Parents see their child’s day at school; teachers enter attendance and the Daily Log without leaving the classroom; the school runs its daily work, from announcements to finance, from one place, limited by permissions.

Which schools can use it?

Nurseries, preschools and primary schools; also schools that bring several levels together or have several branches. The school, branch and class structure is set up accordingly.

Where do I download the app?

MobileKids is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. The school’s desktop management opens in a browser on a computer, with approval from the phone.

Can it be used on a computer?

School screens open in a browser on a computer, in a wide layout with a side menu. Parent and teacher screens are on the phone.

Can one person be both a parent and a teacher?

Yes. One phone number is one person. The same person can be a parent, a teacher and a school admin; with a single account and a single PIN, they switch roles without signing in again.

How do I sign up and sign in?

Sign-up is with a phone number and an SMS code. For later sign-ins you use your 6-digit PIN. After 5 wrong attempts in a row, the PIN locks for an hour.

Which modules are there?

Daily Log, Important Update, End of Day, attendance, announcements, events and calendar, pickup, messaging, photo sharing, development reports, forms, meal menu and transport; for the school, finance, staff, pre-registration, stock and reports. A school can turn off modules it doesn’t use. You can see them all on the Modules page.

Parents use it free and join with their school’s invitation.

For Parents

Your child’s school sends an invitation for your child to your phone number. You sign up with your number in the app and accept the pending invitation on your home screen; your child is linked to your account.

Do I pay as a parent?

No. Parents and teachers use it free; the subscription belongs to the school.

My school doesn’t use MobileKids. Can I still use it?

Your child’s day comes from the school’s records, so the app makes sense once the school uses it. You can show your school this site, or suggest that they write to us.

What will I see in the app?

Your child’s day (meals, sleep, care, activities and teacher notes), Important Update entries, the End of Day summary, announcements, events and permissions, the calendar, the weekly education plan, the meal menu, shared photos, development reports, forms and your payments. What you see depends on the modules the school has turned on.

What do I do if someone else will pick up my child from school?

You add a permanent or temporary person to the pickup authorizations. A temporary authorized person shows the pickup code or QR at the door; the school also checks their ID at pickup. You say On My Way when you set off and I’m Here when you arrive; in the call you choose who will pick up the child.

How do I report that my child won’t come to school?

With an absence report you write the date and reason, and attach a document if you like. This is a notification; the teacher takes the official attendance.

Can I pay school fees through the app?

No, the app doesn’t take card payments. You see your balance, installment plan and overdue payments; you report a payment you made to the school another way, and the school records it to your account.

I have more than one child. Will I see them all in the same account?

Yes. All your linked children stay in the same account; you switch by choosing a child at the top of the screen.
